SADC EAC Chiefs Order Ceasefire and Aid in 5 Days

African leaders want peace in Congo. They met to make this happen. Army leaders from different African countries must make a plan in five days. The plan will help stop the fighting and bring food to people who need it.

President Mnangagwa came back from this big meeting and talked to news writers. He said all African countries agreed they must stop helping rebel fighters in Congo. These rebels make life hard for many people living there.

Two groups of African countries worked together at this meeting. One group comes from southern Africa, and the other comes from eastern Africa. The leaders want Congo's people to live without fear. They believe working together makes them stronger.

Many important leaders attended the meeting. Some leaders talked through computers because they could not be there. President Mnangagwa told everyone that Africa needs to help Congo the same way African countries helped each other become free long ago.

The leaders decided to meet every year to ensure the success of their plans. They want other people to talk about peace in thirty days. These people will check that everyone follows the rules and does what they promise.

President Mnangagwa thinks everyone must tell the truth when they talk about helping Congo. He wants all African countries to work as friends, which will help bring peace to Congo and improve the lives of its people.
