Sahara Group bets big on EXTRApreneurs, innovation gets a boost

Sahara Group Foundation dropped over $130,000 on 20 African entrepreneurs through their Impact Fund and MADAA programs after completely redesigning how they help people bridge the gap between having an idea and actually selling stuff. The foundation built out a whole pipeline with business training, financial advice, and governance help instead of just handing out money and calling it a day.

They pulled over 2,000 applications from across the continent, and around 300 people made it through to intensive workshops run by Sahara experts. Foundation directors told the winners to focus on resilience and innovation while building solutions that can scale across African markets and eventually compete globally.
