Bangladesh's National Board of Revenue introduced software designed for streamlined digital tax filing on Sunday. Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed officially opened the Tax Representative Management System at NBR's multipurpose facility. The platform enables authorized representatives to submit income tax returns electronically after completing system registration. NBR income tax personnel collaborated with information technology programmers to create this digital solution. The system transforms taxpayer representation processes while enhancing administrative efficiency and accountability.
Taxpayers authorize representatives by confirming one-time passwords sent to biometric-registered mobile devices. Representatives access stored return data through their individual TRMS profiles at any time. The platform eliminates physical documentation requirements and prevents information loss through digital processes. NBR Chairman Md Abdur Rahman Khan presided over the ceremony. Professional association leaders from tax law, cost management, chartered accounting, and chartered secretary organizations attended as distinguished guests.
