Samson and Arshdeep save India from Oman in the Asia Cup

India defeated Oman by 21 runs at Sheikh Zayed Stadium during Thursday night's T20 Asia Cup encounter. Sanju Samson contributed 56 runs from 45 deliveries while Arshdeep Singh achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Indian male cricketer to capture 100 T20I wickets. The victory preserved India's perfect record in the tournament. India posted 188 runs for eight wickets after batting first. Abhishek Sharma provided early momentum with 38 runs from 15 balls.

Oman responded strongly through partnerships between Captain Jatinder Singh and Aamir Kaleem, followed by Kaleem's 93-run stand with Hammad Mirza. Kaleem scored 64 runs while Mirza added 51 before both batsmen fell during the closing stages. Oman finished at 167 for four wickets despite their determined chase. Indian bowlers worked hard on the flat surface, with Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, and Harshit Rana each taking one wicket. The triumph maintained India's momentum in the competition.
