Samsung Galaxy S26 series expected to launch in February 2026

Samsung may conduct its Galaxy Unpacked presentation late next month to introduce the S26 smartphone lineup, according to reports from South Korean publication Electronic Times that align with earlier predictions from tipster Jukan. The timing contradicts previous suggestions of a January reveal following internal restructuring that saw the company cancel the S26 Edge model and expand availability of the S26 Plus variant.

Processor allocation across the series remains a subject of discussion, with sources indicating Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will power approximately 70 percent of devices while Samsung's Exynos 2600 handles the remaining 30 percent. The Ultra model will exclusively use Qualcomm silicon and represents half of S series sales, with American units also receiving the Snapdragon chip. Base S26 and S26 Plus variants in European, South Korean and developing markets will incorporate the Exynos 2600 built on Samsung's 2-nanometer manufacturing process, though yield concerns reportedly persist despite thermal management improvements.
