Security Team Recovers 59 Stolen Animals in Samburu County

Security forces brought back 59 animals after thieves stole them from a herder. The rescue happened Friday at Marti area when different police teams worked together. Officers from three groups chased the criminals who had taken livestock from Nchalai area. The thieves carried assault rifles and fought back when police caught up to them. All the stolen animals went back to the person who lost them.

Another theft case took place on May 21 near a bridge at Narok county. Police tracked down rustlers who had stolen 11 cattle early that morning. Officers followed footprints through the dark and found the criminals close to Miti Mingi Bridge. The thieves ran away when police started shooting at them. The cattle returned safely to their rightful keeper.

Police also stopped bandits at Ol-Kinyei Dam on May 22 during another animal theft. Armed suspects escaped after security teams overpowered them near the water source. The criminals left behind all the livestock they had tried to steal. Officers have added more patrols around these areas because theft cases keep happening. Police promise to catch anyone who steals animals and protect people's property.
