Shuvosangho Pushes Mental Health Agenda at SUST With New Committee

Students at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology gathered for a special mental health event on Tuesday. Bashundhara Shuvosangho threw the meeting to kick off their brand new committee. The group picked the social science building as their venue for the important day. Md Mofazzal Haque took charge as the main speaker and ran the whole show. Mental wellness became the hot topic as dozens of students packed the room.

The university crowd saw plenty of familiar faces during the big event. General Secretary Jannatul Ferdaosi Sonali showed up with several professors and advisers. Dr Niaz Ahmed and Dr Iftekhar Ahmed joined the academic team for support. Campus press club President Zubayedul Haque Robin also made an appearance. The meeting drew students from different departments across the campus.

Bashundhara Shuvosangho brought their top leadership team to make things official. Vice presidents Shipra Rani Nath and Md Hossain Iqbal attended with other key members. Joint general secretaries Syeda Roksana Akhter and Syeda Ilmunnahar Takia helped coordinate the event. The organization filled multiple secretary positions for different areas like finance, planning, and publicity. More than twenty executive members rounded out the impressive attendance list.

President Mofazzal Haque started the program with a detailed presentation about their work. He explained what Bashundhara Shuvosangho does on campus and beyond. The group focuses on helping students deal with stress and mental health challenges. Their new committee plans to expand these services throughout the university. Students learned about upcoming programs and how to participate.
