Sivakarthikeyan sings rebel anthem for Parasakthi

GV Prakash spilled that Sivakarthikeyan recorded vocals for a protest track called Tharakku Tharakku in the director Sudha Kongara's film Parasakthi. The composer posted about it after dropping the third single from the movie, which apparently has some language pride vibes that hint at old political drama from decades back in Tamil Nadu.

Sivakarthikeyan wrapped dubbing last month, while Sreeleela and Ravi Mohan already finished their voice work. The period piece takes place in 1960s Madras at Pachaiyappa's college, and the teaser shows the lead actor rallying students against some oppressive system. Filming got done across Madurai, Sri Lanka, and Pollachi before the crew called it quits in October.

The whole thing drops in January for the Pongal festival, and Ravi K Chandran shot everything while Supreme Sundar choreographed the action sequences.
