A bus crash on Thursday morning killed six people and injured 40 others along the Harare-Mukumbura road between Madziwa and Mushowani. The Yutong bus, carrying 55 passengers, was headed toward Bindura when a tire blowout caused the driver to lose control, according to the Zimbabwe Republic Police.
Authorities transported the deceased to Bindura Provincial Hospital for post-mortem examinations. The injured received treatment at Karanda, Madziwa, Mt. Darwin, and Bindura hospitals. Police said they will release the victim's identities after the families complete the identification process.
