Spain Edges France In 9-Goal Nations League Thriller

Spain beat France 5-4 during their Nations League semi-final match and earned a spot against Portugal. The final game between Spain and Portugal happens Sunday June 8th. Nico Williams scored first for Spain during the 22nd minute with help from Oyarzabal. Mikel Merino added a second goal three minutes later from another Oyarzabal pass. Spain looked strong after taking the early two-goal lead.

Lamine Yamal converted a penalty kick during the 54th minute for Spain's third goal. Pedri made it 4-0 just one minute later after Nico Williams set him up perfectly. France fought back when Kylian Mbappe scored from the penalty spot during the 59th minute. Yamal scored again during the 67th minute after Pedro Porro found him with a great pass. Spain led 5-1 and seemed ready to coast toward the final whistle.

France refused to quit and made the match exciting during the final stages. Ryan Cherki scored a beautiful long-range shot during the 79th minute with Mbappe providing the assist. Daniel Vivian accidentally scored for France during the 84th minute with an unfortunate deflection. Kolo Muani completed France's comeback attempt during stoppage time but Spain held on. Both teams created an unforgettable match filled with goals and drama.
