Spitfire Audio Merges Six Libraries for Orchestral Scores

Spitfire Audio just put out something really cool for music makers. They took the best parts from six different Albion packs and stuffed them into one awesome collection called "The Albions: Orchestral Selects." This gives composers tons of strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion at their fingertips. You can make everything from huge dramatic sounds to gentle, quiet passages with these samples.

The string section mixes the big symphonic feel from Albion ONE with high-flying parts from Iceni and Tundra. They added smaller string groups from NEO and Loegria for those times when you need something more personal and close. The brass section throws together powerful sounds from ONE, Tundra, and Iceni, plus some detailed articulations from NEO that bring extra expression.

Woodwinds follow the same pattern by grabbing samples from ONE, Tundra, and NEO to create many different textures. The percussion section features Darwin Percussion from Tundra and Iceni alongside the massive XXL Percussion and Legacy Cymbals from Albion ONE. For lighter touches, they included Loegria's Fine Drums. Your music will benefit from legato instrument patches taken from across all Albion products.

Paul Thomson, who helped start Spitfire Audio, says these sounds will jump-start your creativity right away. The collection works with Native Instruments' Kontakt or the free Kontakt Player version 7.5.2 and higher. It runs on Windows 10 or newer and Mac computers with macOS 11 or later. All major plugin formats, including VST3, AU, and AAX, are supported.

You can grab "The Albions: Orchestral Selects" right away for a special price of £119 or €143 until March 13, 2025. After that date, prices go up to £149 or €179. All British pound prices already include tax. This package helps composers create film scores across any genre without spending hours building sounds from scratch.
