Yesterday, the leader of Uganda's lawyers, Isaac Ssemakadde, got into a big argument. He now faces three different problems in court.
Some lawyers are angry because Mr. Ssemakadde kicked two important people out of their group last year. These people were the Attorney General and another important lawyer. The lawyers say he should not have done this without asking everyone first. The court was supposed to look at this case, but they needed a new judge because the old one moved to a different court. They will meet again on March 17, 2025.
Mr. Ssemakadde made another group of people upset when he wrote mean things on the internet about a judge. The judge had stopped a meeting where lawyers were going to pick new people to help choose judges. A lawyer named Mugisha wants the court to make Mr. Ssemakadde pay a lot of money or go to jail. Mr. Ssemakadde did not come to court to explain himself, and the judge will decide what happens on February 28, 2025.
The third problem came because Mr. Ssemakadde said very rude things about an important lady lawyer named Jane Frances Abodo. Two other lawyers brought a video to show what he said. The court might tell the police to arrest him because of this.

Another lawyer, Steven Kalali, thinks the law about being rude to women is not fair because it does not protect men the same way. He has asked the court to change this law.
