Steenkamp Encourages Young Women to Lead with Integrity and Authenticity

Education Minister Sanet Steenkamp spoke to young women at a beauty contest Saturday. The Miss NGO 2025 event took place at Windhoek. She urged contestants to stay true to themselves and make real changes. The minister praised their work helping 850 children across Namibia. She asked them to focus on honest leadership and strong values.

Young women from different charity groups joined the competition. Each participant works on important causes like schools and health care. Some focus on climate problems and equal rights for women. Steenkamp told them their efforts create meaningful improvements. She said their community work shows true leadership skills.

The minister talked about being genuine and doing right things. She said honest people serve others better than those who pretend. Courage helps leaders make good choices even when others cannot see. Steenkamp reminded contestants to keep their basic beliefs strong. She wants them to remember what matters most as they grow.

The competition brings together activists from across the country. These women spend time helping communities and solving problems. Their charity work reaches hundreds of young people each year. The contestants learn important skills through their volunteer efforts. They build confidence as they help others improve their lives.

A final ceremony will crown the winner later this year. The participants plan to continue their social work after the contest ends. Steenkamp expects them to keep making positive changes throughout Namibia. The event celebrates both beauty and community service. These young leaders represent hope for the country's future.
