Stellar Blade PC Preorders Blocked in 130 Countries

Gamers found Stellar Blade blocked in many countries after PC pre-orders began today. The game launches next month, but Steam lists it as unavailable across 130 nations. Developer Shift Up confirmed that players do not need PlayStation Network accounts to play. This contradicts Sony's usual pattern of requiring PSN login for its PC games. The situation mirrors problems that happened with Helldivers 2 earlier.

PlayStation appears to restrict access in regions where the PSN service does not officially exist. Shift Up seemed surprised when players reported these problems on social media. The developer responded to upset fans but had limited answers about the restrictions. PlayStation has not made any public statement about these widespread blocks. Gamers hope both companies will clarify the situation soon.
