Step Up or We Take Over Your Council

Zimbabwe's government threatens to seize control of local councils that cannot provide basic services. Deputy Local Government Minister Albert Tawanda Mavunga told young people about new Cabinet rules. Councils must meet minimum service standards or face takeover from central authorities. The national government wants all citizens to receive proper services from their local areas. Local authorities have limited time to improve their performance.
