Stolen Boer Goats Spark Urgent Police Chase

Goat Thief Strikes Beatrice Farm, Flees Police.

A thief stole nine goats from a farm in Beatrice on Sunday night. The farmer, Onias Sanangura, is 44 years old.

The thief cut a hole in the farm's fence. He then took the goats and put them in his car, a Nissan AD van.

Police saw the thief's car on the side of the road. They were driving on the Harare-Masvingo highway. They stopped to check the car.

The thief ran away into the dark bush. The police could not catch him, but they did find the goats in his car.

Mr. Sanangura saw photos of the goats on WhatsApp. The police had posted them. He sent his worker to the police station. She said the goats were his.

Inspector Simon Chazovachiyi is the police spokesperson. He said the goats and car are now at the Beatrice police station.

The police want farmers to put tags on their animals, which will make them easy to find if they are stolen. They also want farmers to work together to keep their farms safe.

Farmers should tell the police quickly if they see any crimes. The police are there to help stop thefts like this one.
