Synthia Akhter was found dead, family blames husband, Ibrahim

Authorities discovered Synthia Akhter unconscious at her Hazaribagh apartment on Monday morning at approximately 6 am. Medical personnel at Dhaka Medical College Hospital pronounced the 24-year-old woman deceased upon arrival. Emergency responders had transported her from the residential building after neighbors made the initial discovery. Synthia originally came from Durgapur Upazila in Netrokona District before relocating to the capital. She had maintained a marriage with Ibrahim Chowdhury spanning more than twelve months.

Ibrahim disappeared from the scene following the incident and remains unlocated by authorities. Family member Md Rubel accused the missing spouse of committing murder against his sister. The brother described Ibrahim as someone with substance abuse problems and connections to criminal organizations. Rubel claimed his brother-in-law subjected Synthia to ongoing physical violence and psychological torment throughout their relationship. He alleged that Ibrahim brandished a firearm at Synthia on Sunday and issued death threats against family members.

Inspector Md Faruk oversees the police camp stationed at the medical facility. Hospital staff placed the deceased woman's remains in the morgue pending further investigation procedures.
