A Tanzanian delegation has announced its preparedness to participate in the 26th United Nations World Tourism Organization General Assembly in Riyadh. The delegation leader, Natural Resources and Tourism Ministry Permanent Secretary Hassan Abbasi, stated the country is ready to contribute to discussions on advancing the global tourism sector.
As a member of the UNWTO Executive Committee, Tanzania aims to support sustainable tourism growth. The assembly will also select a new Secretary General, scheduled to begin duties in January 2026. Abbasi emphasized that their involvement demonstrates a commitment to sharing expertise on utilizing natural resources for economic development.
