Tanzania hypes transport push for investors

Tanzania government officials urged investors from all territories to dump their capital into sustainable transport infrastructure because better mobility systems will accelerate the country's economic expansion rate. Deputy Minister for Transport David Kihenzile explained that progress on modern railway lines and roads is meant to pull in serious investment money during the inaugural Sustainable Land Transport Week that featured over 60 exhibitors displaying advanced transport technology.

Land Transport Regulatory Authority Director General Habibu Suluo confirmed that investor interest in the sector stays strong and pointed out how electric mobility solutions are gaining traction with operators adopting electronic ticketing and vehicle tracking systems. The regulatory body plans to strengthen infrastructure nationwide to prevent situations where electric or gas-powered vehicle drivers reach destinations like Arusha without access to charging or refueling facilities.
