Tanzania Police arrest Dede in Singida

Tanzania's police force has issued a public warning against participating in online groups organized by individuals allegedly planning criminal activities under the guise of peaceful demonstrations. Authorities stated that such acts are criminal offenses and that legal action will be taken against anyone involved.

The police announced the arrest of Ambrose Leonce Dede, a security guard with African Safari Security Company and a member of CHADEMA. He was apprehended in Ikungi District, Singida Region, for allegedly using a WhatsApp group named Sauti Ya Watanzania to incite criminal acts. Investigators reported that evidence shows Dede collaborated with other individuals, both within and outside Tanzania, to coordinate unlawful activities.

Several foreign and local phone numbers were linked to the alleged operations as the police continue their investigation to identify additional suspects.
