The Rashtriya Janata Dal leader criticized the current administration for destroying education, neglecting farmers, and protecting criminals after the Election Commission announced polling dates for November 6 and November 11. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar described the contest as the mother of all elections and promised peaceful voting with individual observers assigned to each of the 243 constituencies. The commission completed a Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls after 22 years, producing a final list of 7.43 crore voters.
