A deadly car crash killed three people near Uzande Business Centre on Thursday. Two vehicles smashed together on Chinhoyi-Chegutu Highway during afternoon traffic. The Lexus driver crossed over into the wrong lane and hit a Toyota Probox coming the other way. Local villagers rushed to help pull people from the wrecked cars. Emergency workers took hurt passengers to Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital for treatment.
Witness Emmerson Chitehwe saw the crash happen from the roadside. He said the Lexus driver tried to pass another car when the accident occurred. The passing attempt went wrong and caused the head-on crash between both vehicles. Hospital staff are treating several injured people from the wreck. Police have not released the final count of hurt victims from this highway accident.
