Trump ally promises ICE for Bad Bunny fans

Bad Bunny will headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show next year, but former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski warned on Wednesday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will attend the event to detain undocumented immigrants. The Puerto Rican artist previously expressed concern about ICE's presence at his concerts after declining to tour the United States following his latest album release earlier this year. Lewandowski appeared on a podcast to criticize the NFL's selection and stated that enforcement operations will occur at all venues regardless of the performer.

Bad Bunny, a native of Puerto Rico, holds American citizenship and has opposed Trump's policies. He previously performed as a guest at the 2020 Super Bowl with Shakira and Jennifer Lopez. The artist told i-D magazine last month that potential ICE activity outside his shows was a significant worry. He will host Saturday Night Live this weekend with Doja Cat as the musical guest.
