Trump Rejects Israeli Plan to Kill Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei

Trump turned down Israel's plan to kill Iran's top leader. Israeli officials showed the White House their idea to assassinate Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The president worried such action would make the Middle East crisis much worse. Trump wants to stop the conflict from growing into a bigger war. Netanyahu refused to confirm or deny the rejected assassination plan.

The Israeli prime minister said his country does what it needs to do. Trump warned Iran not to attack American targets anywhere. He promised to use full military force against Iran if they strike back. The president believes Israel and Iran will make peace deals soon. He compared the situation to past conflicts he helped resolve.

Trump faces pressure from supporters who want less foreign involvement. Some Republicans praise his careful approach to the crisis. Others push for stronger military support for Israel. The president heads to Canada for meetings with world leaders. The Iran-Israel conflict will dominate those important discussions.
