Tycoon Tagwirei set to join Zanu PF's top ranks

Kuda Tagwirei plans to enter Zimbabwe politics. The rich businessman might join the Zanu PF Central Committee soon. Masvingo leaders have asked party officials to add him. They also want former lawmaker Josiah Sithole included. These changes may completely reshape regional politics.

Provincial chairman Robson Mavhenyengwa told TellZim News about their formal request. He believes both men can help the party succeed because they come from Masvingo. The national leadership must approve these additions first. Reports say Secretary General Obert Mpofu likes the idea but needs to check with National Chairperson Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri.

Tagwirei grew up in Gutu and became famous for making money and helping others. He regularly gives cash to poor communities around Masvingo. The businessman funds many Seventh-day Adventist Church projects across Zimbabwe. He also paid for church buildings and supported programs at Solusi University with large donations.

The Adventist Church awarded Tagwirei its Global Award of Excellence in March 2025. He made history as the first Black person to win this honor. The award shows how much his Bridging Gaps Foundation has done for schools and needy groups. People throughout Zimbabwe wonder how his business skills and charity work might change their country when he enters politics. Everyone watches closely as party leaders decide about this important appointment.
