UBA spreads cheer, not cash, to Fort Portal orphans

Bank staff from UBA Uganda showed up at the Busoro Christ Church Orphanage in Fort Portal with a bunch of supplies. The visit was led by the bank's Chief Operating Officer, Claudia Appia-Asiamah, alongside the marketing head, Hoziana Niyonsaba Semanda, and the local branch manager, Wilber Ndinabo. They met with the orphanage director, Bruce Nyanka.

Appia-Asiamah recognized Nyanka's commitment to caring for the kids. She said the donation was part of the UBA Foundation's regular charity work, which happens every year in more than twenty countries. Semanda called the trip emotionally powerful, seeing how happy and safe the children seemed. Nyanka, who became an orphan himself as a teenager, thanked the group for their timely gift during the holidays, calling it a thoughtful act of love.

He said this kind of community support helps keep the orphanage running. The whole thing fits the foundation's goal of helping vulnerable groups across Africa.
