Ugandan-American exec Isaac Kigozi dies suddenly

Going to sleep and never waking up remains the ultimate nightmare fuel for everyone under forty. Isaac Kigozi died suddenly in his sleep, leaving relatives and peers stunned. His father, Ambassador Abbley Kigozi Walusimbi, confirmed the tragedy happened in Uganda. This young entrepreneur led the Trade and Investment docket for the presidency.

He spent three years pushing Uganda as a prime spot for global cash, using his connections to bring jobs home. His personal motto always emphasized developing the continent through local effort. Prior to public service, Kigozi ran E World Media Group out of Los Angeles.

He produced reality TV content while rubbing shoulders with heavyweights like Lionsgate and Pilgrim Studios. That grind even snagged him a Daytime Emmy nomination for a wildlife series titled Docs Africa. Recognition followed his hustle, earning him a nomination for the Forbes Africa Forty Under 40 Awards.

He also secured an Africa Choice Award for young entrepreneurs. Kigozi sat on multiple boards, from the Islamic University in Uganda to debate leagues in California. His legacy includes the ICARE Foundation, which he started to fight preventable blindness.

The organization funded over 4,700 cataract surgeries and distributed thousands of eyeglasses since its inception. Family members scheduled his burial at Bajjo Village in Luwero District.
