Umo Eno begs Akwa Ibom rivals to stop beefing, eat cake

Governor Umo Eno requested that political leaders in Akwa Ibom State abandon hostile behavior and conduct compassionate campaigns. The governor delivered this message at a celebration dinner marking the state's 38th anniversary. He emphasized that all politicians remain residents of Akwa Ibom after elections end. Party differences should not divide the community permanently.

Eno praised the transformation of Akwa Ibom from an unknown region into a preferred location. He attributed this development to previous administrators' steady work. The governor promised continued efforts to unite APC, PDP, and opposition groups. Collaborative politics will strengthen the state regardless of partisan divisions.

Colonel Tunde Ogbeha, the state's first military leader, attended the event and celebrated remarkable growth since 1987. Stephen Ntukekpo and Aniekan Akpan, representing APC and PDP respectively, acknowledged the governor's peaceful leadership approach across political boundaries.
