A new commander is now leading the Ugandan forces serving in Somalia. Brigadier General Jackson Kayanja took over from Brigadier General Joseph Ssemwanga Musoke during a handover ceremony. The event was overseen by Lieutenant General Kayanja Muhanga, the Ugandan Land Forces Commander.
