Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 14, wrecks Aussie teens with record ton

Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored the fourth-fastest century in Youth Test history with a 78-ball hundred for India Under-19 against Australia Under-19 at Ian Healy Oval on Wednesday. The 14-year-old left-hander became the second player, after Brendon McCullum, to record two men's Under-19 Test centuries in fewer than 100 deliveries. Hayden Schiller dismissed Suryavanshi for 113 runs off 86 balls, featuring eight sixes and nine boundaries, while teammate Vedant Trivedi contributed 140 runs from 192 deliveries.

The teenager broke the Youth ODI career sixes record last week with his 70-run innings against Australia in Brisbane. Suryavanshi surpassed former India Under-19 captain Unmukt Chand's mark of 38 maximums in just 10 matches and extended his total to 41. The batsman made IPL history as the youngest centurion after smashing 100 runs off 35 balls against the Gujarat Titans and finished the 2025 season with 252 runs across seven matches.
