Bangladesh and India are doing their annual thing where they swap military people for Victory Day stuff. Ten folks from India showed up in Dhaka, with eight being war vets and two active duty officers. Meanwhile, Bangladesh sent eight freedom fighters and two serving military officers over to Kolkata for their side of the celebrations.
The Indian High Commission said these visits let veterans from both countries hang out and remember the whole liberation thing from back when Pakistan got kicked out. The events are basically about keeping that friendship alive between the two militaries and honoring everyone who fought together during the war.
