Wike aide Lere Olayinka trolls Amaechi, Obi, Momodu as Hilda Baci stirs Lagos Jollof festival

Lere Olayinka used celebrity chef Hilda Baci's recent cooking achievement to ridicule three prominent Nigerian political figures on Saturday. The Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike targeted former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, ex-Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi, and Dele Momodu. Amaechi had previously criticized President Bola Tinubu regarding Nigeria's current conditions and expressed concerns about widespread hunger. These remarks prompted earlier rebuke from both Wike and Olayinka. Olayinka posted messages on the social media platform X that referenced the Lagos Jollof Festival while mocking politicians.

Baci achieved a Guinness World Record by preparing the largest pot of Jollof Rice during Friday's world Jollof festival in Lagos. The renowned chef utilized 200 bags of rice in her record-breaking cooking demonstration. Olayinka's posts suggested that the politicians should have attended the event, particularly referencing Amaechi's comments about hunger. The social media messages also mentioned Momodu and Obi in a mocking manner related to the food preparation event. This incident represents another chapter in the ongoing political tensions between various Nigerian political figures.
