Wolves Cut Ties With Zimbabwe Midfield Star

Wolverhampton Wanderers cut ties with Zimbabwean midfielder Josh Nyakudya from their youth program. The 19-year-old player leaves when his deal ends June 30 along with seven other academy prospects. Wolves announced the departures through their official retained list after the 2024/25 campaign finished. The Premier League team decided against offering new contracts to these young players. Nyakudya spent time developing his skills at the academy before his release.

Three other Zimbabwean players continue working for Wolves under existing agreements. Marshall Munetsi, Tawanda Chirewa, and Leon Chiwome all keep their spots with the English club. The team confirmed these players remain part of their future plans. Academy graduates face tough competition for professional contracts each summer. Most young players struggle to earn spots with Premier League squads.
