Wolves toast Munetsi at 29

Wolverhampton Wanderers wished their player Marshall Munetsi a happy birthday on social media Sunday. The Zimbabwe national team vice-captain celebrated his 29th birthday. Wolves posted a message on X calling him the leader of The Warriors. Fans from around the world sent birthday wishes to the midfielder. Many supporters praised him for representing Zimbabwe on the world stage.

Munetsi joined Wolves during January after they paid 16.6 million pounds for him. The club also signed defenders Emmanuel Agbadou and Nasser Djiga at the same time. Manager Vitor Pereira played Munetsi as an attacking midfielder instead of his usual central role. The coach often pushed him forward near striker Jorgen Strand Larsen. Some Wolves supporters criticized his performances and felt he did not help the attack enough.

The Zimbabwean midfielder scored twice across 14 games during his first months at the club. He admitted that adapting to English football was difficult for him. Munetsi believes he will perform much better next season after learning about Premier League demands. He said playing against top players has challenged him and helped him grow. The midfielder promised fans he will show his true abilities when the new campaign starts.
