Xabi Alonso hints at Kylian Mbappe's return for the Club World Cup quarter-final against Borussia Dortmund

Kylian Mbappe feels much better after his nasty stomach illness kept him away from Real Madrid matches. The French superstar missed three important games during the group stage of the Club World Cup. Coach Xabi Alonso refuses to say whether Mbappe will start against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. Young striker Gonzalo Garcia has been doing great work leading the attack for Madrid. The 21-year-old has scored three goals during the tournament and earned praise from fans.

Alonso thinks both Mbappe and Garcia could play together if the team needs them. The Spanish manager wants to keep his starting lineup secret until game day arrives. Brazilian winger Rodrygo has barely played during this competition and struggles to make an impact. Alonso spoke with Rodrygo recently and found the player ready to help when called upon. The coach remains confident that every squad member can contribute to success.

Arda Guler has become one of the biggest surprises under Alonso's management at Madrid. The 20-year-old midfielder barely played last season but has shown real promise recently. Alonso wants to develop Guler carefully and accepts that young players make mistakes. Dortmund coach Niko Kovac recognizes Alonso's tactical style from his time at Bayer Leverkusen. The German team hopes their knowledge of Alonso's methods will help them win this crucial quarter-final match.
