Yami Gautam credits her showbiz journey after the National Award

Yami Gautam got the trophy, but she gave the credit to the grind. Article 370 collected Best Music, Best Actress, and Best Feature Film at the 72nd National Film Awards. Gautam called show business her most valuable classroom after Ram Gopal Varma praised the discipline, risk, faith, and persistence behind her recognition.

Television opened the door through Chand Ke Paar Chalo and Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam. Vicky Donor became her first Hindi release. Later, Kaabil, URI: The Surgical Strike, Bala, A Thursday, Dasvi, Article 370, and Haq stacked her film résumé.

Article 370 centers on the constitutional move removing Jammu and Kashmir’s special status. An 11-person Central Jury, chaired by Malayalam filmmaker Jayaraj, reviewed nationwide submissions. NFDC organizes the awards through a structured jury process.

Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi remains the expected ceremony site, where India’s president traditionally presents winners with their honors.
