Yobe Gunfight Erupts as Army Battles ISWAP

Nigerian Army troops fight Islamic State West Africa Province members right now in Buni Gari, Yobe State. The army shared this news Saturday morning on Facebook, saying Operation HADIN KAI soldiers face ISWAP attackers, with more information coming later. Terrorist actions have recently increased across the North-East area of the country. ISWAP fighters struck near Buni Yadi about two weeks ago. The earlier attack killed three soldiers as the attackers stole food and farm animals from local people.
