Young Warriors look hopeless against Eswatini at Ngoni Stadium

Zimbabwe's Under-17 squad failed to find the net during their second COSAFA qualifier match against Eswatini at Ngoni Stadium on Saturday. The Young Warriors secured another goalless result, adding to their disappointing tournament record. Head coach Thulani Sibanda expressed concern about his team's inability to convert scoring opportunities into goals. The team has collected one point from two available matches in the Group A competition. Their struggles continue despite featuring forwards who perform well in domestic youth competitions.

The team suffered a 1-0 defeat against Mozambique in their tournament opener before Saturday's stalemate. Zimbabwe must secure victory in their final group stage encounter to maintain semi-final qualification hopes. Other Group A participants, Mozambique and Comoros, also recorded a scoreless draw at the same venue. Sunday's schedule features multiple Group B and C matches across different stadiums. Tournament action continues with several teams competing for advancement to the knockout rounds.
