Yunus praises Shahidul Alam as Gaza flotilla sails

Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus praised Shahidul Alam on Saturday as the photographer sailed toward Gaza to challenge the media blockade and transport humanitarian supplies. Yunus said Alam demonstrated the same determination he showed when authorities imprisoned him for 107 days in 2018 after he criticized the Hasina government. The chief adviser told the United Nations General Assembly last month that indifference to human suffering undermines decades of progress. Yunus pledged support for Alam and Gaza as children starve and neighborhoods disappear under bombardment.
