Zanu-PF Activists Charged with Cyberbullying

Two men got in trouble for saying mean things in a WhatsApp group. Lovemore Reketai and Bernard Tsotsi had to go to court because they sent voice messages about another person.

These men belong to a group chat called "Gweru Vendors." They used bad words to talk about Costain Mukanganike. He ran for office last year with the Zanu-PF party. The men told people not to listen to him. They called him a thief.

Someone named Pluckcedes Madhirize caught these voice messages. She sent them to Mukanganike. He runs a company called Cosfoam Projects. He didn't like what he heard. He went to the police about it.

The court said the men broke a law about being nice online. They weren't supposed to bully people through phones or computers. This happened back in October.

When they went to see the judge, both men said they did it. But they also said they had proof that Mukanganike did bad things to them. The judge let them go home for free. They must come back to court on December 27. They can't bother anyone who might talk at court. They must stay at their homes until then.

The law they broke helps keep people safe from online bullying. It stops people from using phones and computers to hurt others' feelings or scare them.
