Zimbabwe Dismisses Rumors of 'Blue Siki' Outbreak in Gokwe

Zimbabwe officials have shot down false rumors about a mystery illness called Blue Siki in Gokwe North. Nick Mangwana, who heads Information Services, posted evidence on Twitter showing these stories lack any truth. He shared a video of Dr. E. Gorekore, a medical officer working in the area, who firmly stated he had never seen a single case.

The doctor mentioned that none of his medical colleagues had encountered this supposed condition either. He asked people to remain calm since local health facilities reported zero patients with such problems.

Social media users had claimed Blue Siki caused weird skin color changes and terrible stomach pain. The Ministry of Health found no proof that the condition exists anywhere. Medical experts urge everyone to check the facts before sharing health claims online.

The government warned against spreading fake medical news that creates fear among citizens. Officials stressed the importance of responsible behavior when posting about health matters. They reassured the public about their commitment to health safety by confirming that Blue Siki does not exist in Zimbabwe.
