Police caught a man who ran from prison almost three years ago. Officers arrested Hillary Chiduwo at his mom's house in Wedza after someone told them where he lived. The 38-year-old man broke free from Chikurubi Prison Farm back in May 2022. He stayed hidden all this time until police found him on May 1. Law officers also wanted him for three break-ins.
Chiduwo escaped during his sentence at the high-security jail. Zimbabwe Republic Police searched for him across the area before finally tracking him to Chipipiro Village. The arrest ended his long time away from prison. He faces fresh charges along with his original sentence. Residents helped lead police to his hiding spot.
