Zimbabwe miners dug up 3.9 tonnes of gold during April 2025, a more than half increase compared to April last year. Small miners brought in twice as much gold as they did during the same month last year. The state gold buyer, Fidelity Gold Refiners, tracks all these numbers. Gold brings more money into Zimbabwe than any other product.
Large mining companies delivered about 900 kilograms of gold each month from January through April. These bigger operations gave 3,653 kilograms total during these four months. Small diggers brought even more gold at 8,697 kilograms during that time. April became their best month with almost 3,000 kilograms. The country collected 12,350 kilograms altogether since January.
