Zimbabwe Wows SADC With First ISO Certified Parliament

Regional leaders praised Zimbabwe during the 57th SADC Parliamentary Forum meeting at Victoria Falls. Over 300 delegates from southern African countries attended the gathering. Parliament speakers and lawmakers discussed regional cooperation and development issues. Secretary General Boemo Sekgoma highlighted Zimbabwe's achievements at the opening ceremony. The country became the first parliament worldwide to earn ISO quality certification.

Zimbabwe created the AIDS Levy fund that helps fight HIV across Africa. Other nations copied this domestic financing model for healthcare programs. The trust fund allows Zimbabwe to expand treatment and prevention services without foreign aid. SADC officials called the program a continental success story. Local solutions work better than outside assistance for health challenges.

Speaker Jacob Mudenda wants SADC countries to form a regional parliament next year. The new body would replace the current forum structure. Madagascar will host the summit where leaders vote on the proposal. Young delegates appreciated their participation at parliamentary meetings. Africa Youth Parliament representatives spoke about disability rights and policy changes.

Artificial intelligence experts shared technology ideas with the lawmakers. Digital tools could make parliaments more transparent and efficient. Countries plan to use AI systems for better citizen engagement. Delegates created strategies for regional integration through technology. Modern governance requires smart digital solutions for complex problems.
