Zimbabwe's biggest payment company started building their dream headquarters yesterday. Zimswitch Technologies broke ground on Project Sunrise during a ceremony in Harare. The country's central bank chief Dr Jesimen Chipika attended the event. She praised the company for expanding their operations. This new building shows how serious Zimswitch is about digital money.

The payment firm handles electronic transactions across the entire nation. Their CEO Zabron Chilakalaka called the campus more than just office space. He said the building represents their mission to connect people everywhere. The project matches the government's plan for financial inclusion. Workers will have a modern space designed around sustainability.

Architects chose red bricks to give the building a true Zimbabwean look. Designer Graham Cochrane wanted the structure to work well with local weather. Energy costs remain high across the country. The building will use less power and run more efficiently. Smart design helps companies save money on utilities.

Company chairman Wonder Nyabereka believes this headquarters will drive progress forward. He wants Zimbabwe to become a leader in digital banking. The new office sends a message about innovation and growth. Zimswitch plans to shape the future of electronic payments. Construction teams expect to finish everything by late 2026.

The 16-month timeline starts right away with major building work. Chilakalaka thanked everyone who supported the project. Millions of people depend on Zimswitch services every day. The company feels responsible for serving customers well. This campus will become the heart of Zimbabwe's digital finance revolution.
