Gautam Adani praised workers who built the Navi Mumbai International Airport before its October 8 opening. The Adani Group chairman met with construction crews, firefighters, and employees with disabilities who helped complete the facility. Officials received an aerodrome license from aviation regulators on Tuesday that permits commercial operations at the terminal.
The airport can process 20 million travelers annually through its 3,700-meter runway and modern passenger areas. IndiGo, Akasa Air, and Air India Express plan to launch domestic routes from the facility located 14 kilometers from Jawaharlal Nehru Port. The terminal will serve the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and enhance aviation links across western India.
