Adrine Kobusingye Vows to Revitalize NRM Women's League After Nomination

A businesswoman from Bushenyi grabbed the top spot for the ruling party's women group. Adrine Kobusingye stepped forward as the new leader after party officials picked her for the job. She wants to fix problems that hurt the NRM Women's League over recent years. The nomination happened at party offices where Commissioner Jane Alisemera Babiiha made everything official. Kobusingye promised major changes for women across Uganda.

The new chairperson talked about her special plan called the Three Cs. She believes Communication, Connection, and Collaboration will solve the disconnect between leaders and regular women. Kobusingye said the current leadership left gaps that need immediate attention. Her supporters wore bright yellow clothes and made noise with drums and whistles during the ceremony. The excited crowd showed strong backing for their chosen candidate.

Kobusingye brings solid business experience from running tea companies and hotel groups. She served as board chairperson of Igara Growers Tea Factory and started a farmers savings group. The Uganda Hotel Owners Association also picked her as a board member. Her track record shows she knows how to manage organizations and work with different people. President Museveni gets her full support as she takes on this new role.

The ambitious leader set a five-year timeline for major improvements. She wants women to feel heard and supported through better programs. Economic empowerment and mindset changes top her priority list. Kobusingye believes strong female leadership will lift entire communities across the country.
