Alia vows to finish Awajir-Oju road ahead of 2027

A governor is pushing to finish a key road project while his 2027 campaign kicks off early. Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia, represented by Deputy Sam Ode, reaffirmed his commitment to completing the Awajir-Oju road construction during the launch of a political support group for himself and President Bola Tinubu. He emphasized delivering all campaign promises and announced a future town hall with Oju residents to pinpoint more community projects.

Governor Alia praised High Chief Francis Alochu Ikpobu, founder of the Alochu Foundation and the new support group, calling him a humble advocate for community welfare. The event drew major figures like Och’Idoma monarch Eliagwu Odogbo and APC representatives, who all commended Alochu's philanthropy.

Alochu stated his foundation, started in 2004, aims to give back to society, and forming the support group is his way of backing what he sees as exemplary leadership. The gathering included top state officials like Chief of Staff Moses Atagher, various commissioners, and assembly members, signaling early political mobilization for the next election cycle.
