AMD brings 32GB Navi 48 XTW to workstations

AMD plans to add its Navi 48 XTW GPU to its workstation lineup soon. This move comes after AMD stepped away from making enthusiast-level graphics cards for regular consumers with its RDNA 4 series. Many people expected AMD would release a Navi 48 XTX model to compete with NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5090, but that never happened. According to leaker AnhPhuH, the upcoming workstation version will pack 32 GB of memory.

The new GPU might belong to AMD's W9000 workstation series, though details remain scarce because this particular product line hasn't been mentioned before. The 32 GB memory configuration, probably GDDR6, would make it the top model in the Navi 48 family when looking at memory capacity. AMD currently prepares to launch the Radeon RX 9060 XT and Radeon RX 9070 GRE for consumers, with announcements likely during Computex.

The workstation GPU might first appear at AMD's Advancing AI event rather than Computex. This timing makes sense because the Advancing AI event focuses on professional products. The workstation card targets professional users who need powerful graphics processing for specialized work.
