AMD RX 9060 Cards Leak 8 and 16GB Specs for Q2 2025

AMD plans to release its Radeon RX 9060 Series graphics cards soon. The company announced a Q2 2025 launch timeframe last month but kept quiet about exact specs and prices. Leaks from early March revealed that AMD partners started making custom Radeon RX 9060 XT cards with both 16 GB and 8 GB memory options. Internet detective harukaze5719 recently found evidence backing up these memory configurations.

ASUS just registered several new TUF Gaming, PRIME, and DUAL Radeon RX 9060 XT models with South Korean authorities. Interestingly, only their TUF Gaming OC and regular TUF Gaming cards pack the full 16 GB of video memory. Every other model comes with 8 GB instead. Three weeks ago, harukaze5719 also discovered Acer "Nitro" and "Predator BiFrost" Radeon RX 9060 XT registrations showing both memory sizes.

According to reports from VideoCardz, leaked technical data points to these cards using GDDR6 memory running at 20 Gbps across 128-bit interfaces. TechPowerUp currently lists the Radeon RX 9060 XT as using a Navi 48 LE graphics chip. However, many other sources believe AMD will actually use a smaller Navi 44 chip, which makes more sense for graphics cards at this performance level. These new AMD cards might enjoy a competitor-free market when they launch.

NVIDIA reportedly delayed its competing GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 models. This timing gives AMD's budget-friendly RDNA 4 graphics cards a chance to launch during a period with less competition. The delay creates an opportunity for AMD to establish its new generation before NVIDIA enters the same market segment. Gamers looking for affordable upgrades may find these new Radeon options particularly attractive when they arrive next quarter.
